Kousiki Lalatika was born in 1996 in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. At the age of four she started learning Odissi from Ms. Sushree Mohanty at Bhubaneswar and later under the able guidance of Guru Smt. Sangeeta Dash, who forms the hallmark of “Deba Prasad Style” of Odissi at Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education (SAICE), Puducherry, India.
Her enthusiasm, dedication and hard work in dance, has made her standards well appreciated by some of the renowned gurus of Odissi. Being one of the senior most students of Smt. Sangeeta Dash, she also conducted classes for the junior students at SAICE. She has great enthusiasm in learning and teaching Odissi.
She graduated in 2017 majoring in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Solar Science from SAICE, Puducherry, India. She speaks 7 languages including three foreign languages such as French, English and Spanish. She also plays the Sitar and the Piano. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Thailand.
Kousiki Lalatika is also a T.V. Artist in the Doordarshan Kendra, Prasar Bharti, India's Public Service Broadcaster.
